The California ISO Planning Standards complement existing NERC and WECC Reliability Standards and provide California-specific planning criteria that support the reliable development and operation of the ISO-controlled transmission system. The California ISO will review and update the Planning Standards through a stakeholder process as needed to reflect evolving grid conditions, industry practices, and reliability requirements.
