This initiative will address compensation for storage resources providing ancillary services. All resources are required to be able to fully provide ancillary services awarded in the day-ahead and real-time markets for specified periods of time. Storage resources have an additional constraint to enforce this requirement in the real-time market, which can result in uneconomic energy awards. Appropriate compensation will be considered when these conditions exist.
