INITIATIVE:
Proxy demand resource - resource adequacy clarifications

Started: Mar 27, 2020

Leads
Jill Powers

This initiative combines tariff changes from two separate initiatives, the Effective Flexible Capacity (EFC) Value for Proxy Demand Resources (PDRs) and Slow Demand Response (DR) initiatives. The EFC Value for PDRs initiative seeks to reconcile the tariff and business practices for setting EFC values for PDRs; the Slow DR initiative examines how to operationalize slow DR resources that have a longer lead time for delivering energy for providing local Resource Adequacy capacity, so that the ISO can maintain local reliability.
