The ISO is initiating an Infrastructure Policy Catalog and Roadmap process to prioritize and sequence transmission planning and infrastructure enhancements. This process will solicit proposals from stakeholders, assess stakeholder support for proposed infrastructure policy initiatives, and document a work plan – referred to as the Infrastructure Policy Roadmap – for future infrastructure policy development.
The 2026 process will begin with stakeholders submitting potential infrastructure policy initiatives in January and February. In the spring, the ISO will conduct a stakeholder prioritization process. In the summer, based on the prioritization process, the ISO will post the Infrastructure Policy Catalog, a focused list of discretionary policy initiatives under consideration for inclusion in the Infrastructure Policy Roadmap. The Infrastructure Policy Catalog, along with stakeholder prioritization feedback, will inform the development of the Infrastructure Policy Roadmap, which will be finalized by the end of the year.
