The objective of this initiative is to create a new EIM sub-entity scheduling role that allows for multiple scheduling coordinators within a single EIM entity balancing authority area to schedule and settle non-participating loads and resources.
Outcome: FERC accepted our tariff revisions on March 31, 2022, to create EIM Sub-Entity and EIM Sub-Entity Scheduling Coordinator roles. These new roles will allow one or more electric utilities embedded within a single EIM Entity balancing authority area to participate in the EIM by enabling them, through their EIM Sub-Entity Scheduling Coordinators, to schedule and financially settle non-participating loads and resources directly in the EIM.
