Cost of service study - 2023

Started: May 30, 2023

This stakeholder process includes conducting a comprehensive analysis to determine the costs associated with providing the Grid Management Charges (GMC) and other services to our customers. The process allows for proper allocation of costs to establish the appropriate amounts to charge for our services. The result of the 2023 Cost of Service Study will result in Tariff updates and will impact the 2024 through 2026 GMC as well as other rates and fees. In addition, the stakeholder process will include the proposal of the EDAM Transitional Ramp-In model. The proposed model, to be effective when EDAM goes live, includes a ramp-in of load-based charges that will be offered during the initial years of EDAM operations. This ramp-in would only apply to load volumes and not to supplier volume-based charges to avoid providing any suppliers with a competitive advantage in the market.
